Prayer in Suffering

Lord Jesus Christ,

through your holy suffering and death you have glorified the Father in heaven and redeemed the world.

To you I give my sickness, my suffering, my pain and my helpnessness.
Transform it into a rich blessing.

I offer everything up for the people who are close to me and for the intentions of the Church.

Let me find peace, when I look at your wounds; strength, when I think of your powerlessness, and consolation, when I meditate upon your suffering.

Fill my heart with the love of your pierced Heart.

Mary, Mother of Sorrows, pray for me and for all for whom my suffering should become fruitful.
