Come & See Days in Rome

From December 28, 2025, to January 2, 2026, several young men from Germany, Austria, Liechtenstein, Hungary, and the USA stay with us at the Collegium Paulinum in Rome.

In these days we prayed, ate, worked, and played together. We listened to vocation stories and strengthened each other in faith and love for the Church.

In several talks, we delved into the history, the prayer, the community life, and the apostolic mission of our Spiritual Family, as well as the life and work of St. John Henry Newman.

Highlights included: attending the End-of-Year Celebration with Pope Leo XIV; serving at the altar at St. Paul’s (at Holy Mass with the closing of the Holy Door) and at St. Peter’s (at the Eucharistic celebration on the third anniversary of Pope Benedict XVI’s death); the Seven Churches Pilgrimage; and a funny and contemplative New Year’s Eve celebration.

Come & See Days

Voices of the participants:

“It was a wonderful week in every respect, with one highlight following another: filled with family atmosphere, sustained by prayer, the Eucharist, and adoration, as well as a well-planned pilgrimage program at the end of the jubilee year.”

“Rome, both the consequence and foundation of the Catholic faith, has already become familiar to me in its external splendor during previous trips to Rome; but it is only through the community and charisma of the FSO that I have truly become aware of and taken to heart the connection to the underlying spirituality of this city and the Catholic faith that emanates from it.”

»The Come & See Days strengthened my love for Jesus and his holy Church.«

“The days were unique. In addition to the varied program and excellent food, we had wonderful moments of common prayer. I learned a lot from each participant and I am already looking forward to our next meeting.”

“We spent much time in St. Peter’s and in Rome, close to the relics of the apostles and many great saints. We spent time in prayer, serving at Mass, and also playing, and we got to know better the life in The Work. We had a lot of fun as a group and strengthened each other in our faith.”

»I am glad that I could experience, through the openness and kindness of the community, a joyful life of prayer and mutual service. Especially, I thank that we could discover the heart of the Catholic church in the Vatican as members of an inspiring company.«
