Christmas Night

Lord Jesus,

Young and innocent child whom we meet
in your poor and mysterious birth on Christmas night,
we acknowledge you
as the King and Creator of the universe (cf Col 1:16)
We adore you in faith and confidence,
with all the readiness and love of our hearts,
as did Mary and Joseph, the shepherds and the wise men.
Teach us to live from the Light that you are
and to bear witness to it in our word and work,
in all actions of our daily life.
